GUIDE TO MY SERVICES

I work in the UK, a Professional Canine Behaviourist and People Trainer, I travel to many different areas, and coach people internationally too.

My services are tailored to individual needs, as every dog/human relationship is unique and every behavioural problem is different.

A dog's behaviour is formed through a complex mix of environment, relationships, and life experience, including early socialization and learning, as well as genetic factors such as breed and dog rank.

The behaviour you want is personal to you, yet I can help you to achieve just that with confidence through my services. A fixed price for my services is not appropriate, as - just like dogs - no two cases are the same!

By learning from you about your own situation with your dog(s) along with your expectations we can agree realistic goals and appropriate, affordable fees.

Problem behaviour is any behaviour that is unwanted by you! I will find the right solution for you at home or out and about, enhancing your special relationship with your canine companion.

Here are some of the most common problems I have resolved through owner training and dog rehabilitation:

Jumping up;

Mouthing; Nipping;

Inappropriate Toileting;

Vocalization (barking/whining/howling);

Destructiveness;

Anxiety, including Separation;

Obsessive Behaviour;

Nervousness; Fears and Phobias;

Food problems, including obsession.

Aggression including:

Dominance Aggression;

Fear Aggression;

Possessive/Territorial Aggression;

Rivalry Aggression;

Noise Aggression;

Any Type of Aggression! I help you in the real place where the problem behaviour arises, for example at home, or out on a walk experiences such as:

Aggression towards other dogs (dog-dog) or people;

Pulling; Lunging/charging;

Fear of cars/noises/cycles/bikes etc;

Chasing;

Off-lead - Recall;

Manners;

Socialisation.

Any of the other above problems which you experience outside too! My goal is to balance the mind and change behaviour. I work with you to find the most effective treatment method for your dog(s), including aggressive cases.

MORE on AGGRESSION

Aggression can be shown towards other members of the family or between pack members - including inter-pack fighting behaviour between male-male and female-female.

Using my approach, I have successfully rehabilitated such dogs. This is all about using dog (not human) psychology to recover balance and stop this acting-out learned response.

I know how to help your dog to use their other natural dog choices instead of aggression - an approach which works works because it is dog psychology rehab. My dogs show me how they interact to stop another member showing or escalating to aggression, I use these ways too.

I also use my own form of C.A.T. ("Constructive Aggression Therapy") whereby the dog learns that an aggressive response does not make another dog go away, only a calm submissive response does. It works, and my pack help with these cases as well.

I have pack members here who are experienced "stooge dogs". This means they can be in the environment of aggression while maintaining balanced behaviour, so other dogs can model from them and realise that an aggressive response does not work!

This unique service offers appointments for dog-dog aggression. I travel to help clients with one or two of my pack members. I have different breeds and characters which I use to modify behaviour, so that client dogs develop new calm behaviour in real contexts like the walk.

This service is with the owners handling their dog so they can learn how to do this with confidence. I do not use the same dog over and over, but switch dogs frequently to provide new training contexts.

It is important to avoid the scenario where an owner's dog rehabilitates well with one particular dog, but relapses into aggression when a new dog appears - I have 14 dogs so this does not happen with me!

POPULAR SERVICES

Here are some of the most popular services I provide, to give you some ideas and inspiration.

PRIVATE CANINE BEHAVIOUR CONSULTATIONS

Through in-person professional consultations we can agree realistic goals.

I assess and evaluate your dog(s), making an accurate diagnosis in order to start recovery or identify the best way to have the behaviour you want.

Average consultation time is 2-3 hours, and can last up to 4 hours, which can be split into two sessions.

I can also bring stooge dogs who are experienced in helping dogs recover from dog-dog aggression.

Dog(s) Rehabilitation with Owner/Family Coaching:

I provide the best treatment plan to resolve unwanted and problematic behaviour. Through conditioning, the new behaviour replaces the old, with the old behaviour stopping!

Dog Behaviour Solutions and Owner/Family Coaching:

I coach you in how to have your dog(s) learn the behaviour you want from them. I work directly with your dog(s) and show you the way through demonstration. My dogs can also be present so that your dogs can model their behaviour from them.

DISTANCE PEOPLE COACHING:

People training & dog psychology distance learning for owners and families, via Internet/Telephone.

Sometimes people just need to understand how to improve their relationship with their dog(s).

There are many who simply want to know the best approach to have their dog(s) behave as they both need and want, including problem solving.

I teach you a little dog psychology - tailored to your unique situation. I answer your questions and guide you to meet your goals.
  This is a one-one distance service, with no distance limit - some of my international clients live in the USA.

It is similar to my "pack leader" service - just not in-person. By helping you understand your dogs, you add value to your relationship with them. This helps you to become the leader in your own time.

As well as coaching people to be the leader, here are just a few of the types of cases I have helped with this service: puppy raising; introducing a new dog pack member; stopping acting-out - such as barking at doors/windows, people visiting, or indeed the postman!

Don't struggle alone - call in Canine Coach Suzie, for one-one coaching including behaviour solutions.

PEOPLE TRAINING EVENTS with BEHAVIOUR SOLUTIONS

DAY or HALF DAY SESSIONS

I work around the UK with groups of people who want to become the Pack Leader.

I teach the key ways to success through demonstration and sharing real-life experience.

Sadie and Bob join me and so can your dogs, we begin with a "Pack Walk" to unite all dogs in a balanced way!

  I also help by providing one-one treatment methods for you to follow after assessing the dogs, their environment, and your relationship with them.

These day-events are tailored to your needs, and we can include anything you wish from "home manners" to "walking the dog".

So if there are at least two people in an area, then we can get together to do some personal tutoring.

If you don't know anyone else in your area, "just tell me", as I have may know of people awaiting others in the same location. We can arrange a training day event and build new friendships too.

CHOOSE WHICH DOG OR PUPPY IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

 Here I provide coaching on how to identify a dog's natural energy and rank, and how to find the best match for you/your family.

This service includes: Breed guidance, Rescue dog assessment, Adult dog or puppy, and Re-homing. Aftercare is also available.

HOW TO INTRODUCE

A NEW DOG TO

YOUR ENVIRONMENT

This is a very impotant time, for you and your dog thee first hours/days are crtical to your new dogs ability to settle into your pack/family!

Step-by-step coaching to bring home a new dog and help the dog integrate well with balance.

I help you to create the people/dog positive relationship increasing the love, trust and respect bond with your new dog.

Includes introducing a new pack member to existing family and dogs/other animals!

SOCIALISATION AND MANNERS

Coaching on how to have your dog(s) mix with other humans, dogs and other animals. It's all about being "dog polite" - such as no jumping up,

No more charging over to other dogs, and how to relax with other animals!

LET'S GO OUT - MANNERS!

My coaching enabes you to walk where you want, when you want!

In town along the high street, in the countryside or here at the beach, you can become confident that your dog will ignore distractions, get into your car, be calm, and recall to you!

Including the very important "loose lead walking"  - no more pulling you!

So no more pulling...."Then why is Peterpan in front of me"?

Because after running next to the bike, I have given him a new job to do - to run in front of me and the bike, to be ahead yet still in "follower mode" this increases his work-out as he achieves a really high speed, and he has to "pull" a little - like a working sledge dog, I keep pedalling though as Peter is only a Fox Terrier not a Husky!

The key is "I stop he stops", "I change direction he changes direction" = Team Work!

For contented canines out and about, call in Coach Suzie!
