GUIDE TO MY SERVICES
I work in the UK, a Professional Canine Behaviourist and People Trainer, I travel to many different areas, and coach people internationally too.
My services are tailored to individual needs, as every dog/human relationship is unique and every behavioural problem is different.
A dog's behaviour is formed through a complex mix of environment, relationships, and life experience, including early socialization and learning, as well as genetic factors such as breed and dog rank.
The behaviour you want is personal to you, yet I can help you to achieve just that with confidence through my services. A fixed price for my services is not appropriate, as - just like dogs - no two cases are the same!
By learning from you about your own situation with your dog(s) along with your expectations we can agree realistic goals and appropriate, affordable fees.
Problem behaviour is any behaviour that is unwanted by you! I will find the right solution for you at home or out and about, enhancing your special relationship with your canine companion.
Here are some of the most common problems I have resolved through owner training and dog rehabilitation:
Jumping up;
Mouthing; Nipping;
Inappropriate Toileting;
Vocalization (barking/whining/howling);
Destructiveness;
Anxiety, including Separation;
Obsessive Behaviour;
Nervousness; Fears and Phobias;
Food problems, including obsession.
Aggression including:
Dominance Aggression;
Fear Aggression;
Possessive/Territorial Aggression;
Rivalry Aggression;
Noise Aggression;
Any Type of Aggression! I help you in the real place where the problem behaviour arises, for example at home, or out on a walk experiences such as:
Aggression towards other dogs (dog-dog) or people;
Pulling; Lunging/charging;
Fear of cars/noises/cycles/bikes etc;
Chasing;
Off-lead - Recall;
Manners;
Socialisation.
Any of the other above problems which you experience outside too! My goal is to balance the mind and change behaviour. I work with you to find the most effective treatment method for your dog(s), including aggressive cases.
MORE on AGGRESSION
Aggression can be shown towards other members of the family or between pack members - including inter-pack fighting behaviour between male-male and female-female.
Using my approach, I have successfully rehabilitated such dogs. This is all about using dog (not human) psychology to recover balance and stop this acting-out learned response.
I know how to help your dog to use their other natural dog choices instead of aggression - an approach which works works because it is dog psychology rehab. My dogs show me how they interact to stop another member showing or escalating to aggression, I use these ways too.
I also use my own form of C.A.T. ("Constructive Aggression Therapy") whereby the dog learns that an aggressive response does not make another dog go away, only a calm submissive response does. It works, and my pack help with these cases as well.
I have pack members here who are experienced "stooge dogs". This means they can be in the environment of aggression while maintaining balanced behaviour, so other dogs can model from them and realise that an aggressive response does not work!
This unique service offers appointments for dog-dog aggression. I travel to help clients with one or two of my pack members. I have different breeds and characters which I use to modify behaviour, so that client dogs develop new calm behaviour in real contexts like the walk.
This service is with the owners handling their dog so they can learn how to do this with confidence. I do not use the same dog over and over, but switch dogs frequently to provide new training contexts.
It is important to avoid the scenario where an owner's dog rehabilitates well with one particular dog, but relapses into aggression when a new dog appears - I have 14 dogs so this does not happen with me!
